E.T. A. Hoffmann,a fantastic romanticist

E.T.A. Hoffmann (1776-1822) was an artist who, more than almost any other, was inseparable between future and tradition, reality and fiction.
With the project "Sandmanns Ohr" (Sandman's Ear), Ottjörg A. C.(Installation) recreates the Hoffmannian space of experience.

By means of text excerpts from "The Sandman" by E.T.A. Hoffmann, sound collages and video projections from Brazil, Ottjörg A.C. shows "The Land of the Future", (Stefan Zweig). Openly, as hardly anywhere else, traditions inspire in Brazil, even those that destroy hope for the future. Here dreams are born, slowly eroded, finally felled or burned by reality.
